Deadly clashes that sparked over ‘land dispute’ between two tribes in Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ended after six days of deadly warfare.
Kurram Deputy Commissioner said security forces personnel have been deployed after clearing the fronts from the parties.
There has been no firing since last night at 5 places in Karam District while further efforts are being made for peace.
According to the police, Parachinar, Peshawar highway is closed to all traffic for the seventh day due to which farmers, travelers, and traders are facing difficulties.
Heavy police and security deployment ensured in the troubled area while normal life has come to a standstill due to the tense situation.
Police officials said that 49 people have been killed and 200 injured so far in the clashes during 6 days.
As per media reports, 210 people sustained injuries amid violent clashes. District Headquarters Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Mir Hassan Jan said that the killing of 14 more people on Monday took the death toll to 49.
