In a special ceremony held in Khyber district, various law enforcement agencies destroyed 84 tons of prohibited goods worth 872 million rupees. The operation involved Customs, Frontier Corps North, Anti-Narcotics Force, Department of Plant Protection, Pakistan Tobacco Company, and other agencies.
The confiscated and destroyed items included cigarettes, cigarette papers, betel nut, foreign medicines, blacklisted mobile phones, and other contraband goods. These items were seized during different operations conducted by the participating agencies.
Customs officials stated that law enforcement agencies are actively working against smuggling. They emphasized that operations against elements involved in smuggling prohibited items are ongoing.
