Jamaat-e-Islami announced a sit-in at D Chowk on July 26. Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeemur Rehman in his address to the Islamabad Bar Association said that we are coming to Islamabad not for ourselves but against the unnecessary taxes imposed on the people.
JI Cheif said the country should have a government of form 45, not 47. “The people have the right to vote as they wish. It has been 70 years since Pakistan’s creation. But we are going backward every day,” he said.
Hafiz Naeem strongly condemned the Bannu firing incident and demanded an independent investigation into the Bannu incident. Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem was addressing the address to the Islamabad Bar Association.
“We are coming to Islamabad to protest against inflation,” Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami said.
“We are coming against taxes on electricity bills, not for ourselves. IPPs sucked the blood of Pakistani people. We will be protesting against the taxes imposed on flour, dal, sugar and to claim the rights of the people of Pakistan,” JI chief said.
