The Foreign Office summoned the deputy head of Mission of the Embassy of Afghanistan in Islamabad on Wednesday to receive Pakistan's strong démarche over the deadly terrorist attack on Bannu Cantonment on July 15.
The brutal assault led to the martyrdom of eight security personnel and left several others injured.
The FO said the attack was orchestrated by the Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group, which is based in Afghanistan. This group, along with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), has been responsible for the deaths of hundreds of civilians and law enforcement officials in numerous terrorist attacks within Pakistan.
