The Met Department has forecasted diverse weather patterns across different regions of Pakistan, indicating varying conditions from rain to moderate temperatures over the coming days.
According to a spokesperson for the weather department, in northeast Punjab, Potohar, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, scattered rain showers are anticipated in some areas, offering potential relief from prevailing dry conditions.
Similarly, there is a chance of rainfall in parts of southeastern and lower Sindh, the spokesperson said further.
For Islamabad and surrounding areas, the forecast predicts partly cloudy skies during the morning and nighttime hours. There is also a likelihood of rain accompanied by wind and thunderstorms, enhancing the possibility of precipitation in the capital city, he added.

Meanwhile, according to the Met Department, the monsoon season in the country is set to begin with rains expected to commence from July 3 onwards.
Chief Meteorologist Shahid Abbas highlighted that the monsoon rains will not only bring relief from the intense heat but also lower the overall temperature across the region. Currently, the country is experiencing a mix of cloudy and sunny weather throughout the day, a pattern expected to persist in the coming days.
Karachi weather
Meanwhile, in Karachi, moderate to heavy rainfall is expected today with a partly cloudy weather, with the Met Department forecasting the resumption of sea breezes later in the evening. The current humidity level stands at 74%, contributing to the atmospheric conditions conducive to rain.
Meteorologists have noted that winds from the northeast are blowing at speeds of approximately seven kilometers per hour, influencing weather dynamics across the region. Despite the precipitation forecasts, temperatures are expected to remain relatively stable, ranging between 37 and 38 degrees Celsius over the next two days.
