The eagerly awaited MotoGP 2024 calendar has been unveiled, featuring a remarkable 22 races, including the return of the Aragon Grand Prix and the much-anticipated debut of Kazakhstan.
The Aragon GP, a fixture since 2010, was notably absent from this year's programme but makes a triumphant comeback for 2024. Meanwhile, Kazakhstan's inaugural race faced delays in the construction of the new Sokol circuit, leading to its cancellation for the current season. However, it is now firmly back on the calendar for 2024.
With Kazakhstan's inclusion, the 2024 MotoGP season expands to 22 races, whereas the 2023 season featured 20 races, the same as in 2022.
The revival of the Aragon Grand Prix brings the total number of races in Spain to four, joining the ranks of Jerez, Barcelona, and Valencia.
India, which made a strong impression during its inaugural event over the weekend despite initial safety concerns, also returns to the MotoGP calendar for 2024.
The upcoming season will commence on March 10 in Qatar, and it will traverse various continents, including the Middle East, Europe, North and South America, Asia, and Australia, culminating in the grand finale in Valencia on November 17.
Additionally, Hungary's Balaton Park has been designated as a reserve circuit, ready to step in if any race cancellations occur.
