Brazilian soccer star Neymar da Silva is planning to leave the Saudi Pro League at the end of the season and return to his former club, Santos.
Goal.com reported that Neymar is interested in returning to Santos at the end of next season in order to prepare for the 2026 World Cup with Brazil.
Reports say that Neymar will not stay at Al-Hilal for long and will return to his former club, Santos, in 2025.
Friends close to Neymar and his father have revealed that the player refused to sign a four-year contract with Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal team because he intends to return to Santos.
Neymar has reportedly already contacted Santos officials and discussed his plan to return.
Neymar signed a contract with Al-Hilal until 2025, with the possibility of extending for a third season. However, recent reports claim that he has clashed with his Al-Hilal coach, Jorge Jesus.
Meanwhile, media reports also said that Neymar demanded that Al-Hilal sack manager Jorge Jesus after a dressing room altercation.
According to Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, Neymar was harshly censured by Jesus for his below-par performance and bad attitude in a recent match.
The football star reacted angrily and demanded that the club dismiss Jesus.
The report also claims that club directors met with Jesus' agent and warned him of the possibility of terminating the coach's contract if Al Hilal's performance does not improve soon.
However, Neymar has since denied these claims on social media and called them "lies".
