The opposition alliance, Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Ayeen-e-Pakistan, has decided to launch a nationwide protest campaign against the ruling government.
The group has also decided to approach the court against the administrations in Faisalabad and Karachi for not allowing them to hold rallies in the cities.
According to details, important decisions related to the political situation of the country were approved in the important meeting of Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Ayeen-e-Pakistan under the chairmanship of Pakhtunkhwa Mili Awami Party chief Mehmood Khan Achakzai.
In the consultative meeting, the opposition alliance decided to launch a nationwide campaign and expressed its determination to carry forward the movement and struggle for real freedom. It also stressed that holding public gatherings was a constitutional, legal and democratic right, adding that the rallies would be held in any case.
During the meeting, the anti-government alliance strongly condemned the killing of seven innocent people in a recent incident of terrorism in Gwadar and the brutal torture and arrests of lawyers of the Lahore High Court Bar.
Expressing concern over the treatment of farmers in Punjab and expressing solidarity with them, it announced to support the farmers' movement.
