Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique has taken notice of the protests and complaints of the students of a private medical college in Lahore.
Taking notice of the protest of the students that took place three days ago, the health minister has formed a fact-finding committee, according to which the University of Health Sciences will investigate the complaints of the medical college students.
The minister announced that the fact-finding committee will investigate the students' allegations and bring forth the facts.
It should be noted that the medical college students protested strongly outside their institution, alleging that the college used to force them to enroll in programs and mint money through heavy fines. The teachers had created the environment of a prison, and recently a student died because of the mental pressure, they alleged.
The management of the private medical college had claimed that they had accepted the demands of the students. But they also claimed that the student who died was suffering from a heart disease, and rejected all other allegations.
