A day after reaching the highest ever in history, the price of gold in Pakistan came down a bit on Saturday, reflecting global market trends.
In the local market, the price of 24-karat gold per tola decreased by Rs200, settling at the highest ever Rs289,400, according to data shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs172, taking it to Rs248,113.

In the international market also, the price of gold saw a drop of $2 on Saturday, reaching $2,770 per ounce with an additional premium of $20.
The price of silver in the local market fell by Rs32 to reach Rs3,400 per tola.
