The price of gold in Pakistan broke all previous records and reported the highest rate ever on Friday, reflecting global market trends.
In the local market, the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs2,900, settling at the highest ever Rs289,600, according to data shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold hiked by Rs2,486, taking it to Rs248,285.

In the international market also, the price of gold saw a rise of a massive $29 on Friday, reaching $2,772 per ounce with an additional premium of $20.
The price of silver in the local market increased by Rs31 to reach Rs3,432 per tola.
