The United States Embassy in Israel has implemented travel restrictions on its employees following recent drone attacks in Iran.
In a statement released by the embassy, the decision to ban certain trips aims to safeguard American diplomats within Israeli territory amidst heightened security concerns.
The travel restrictions come in the wake of escalating tensions in the region, prompting the American embassy to take precautionary measures to ensure the safety of its personnel.
Under the imposed restrictions, US government employees and their family members have been restricted from personal travel outside the greater Tel Aviv (including Herzliya, Netanya, and Even Yehuda), Jerusalem, and Be’er Sheva areas until further notice.

The embassy statement cautions that the security environment remains complex and can change quickly depending on the political situation and recent events.
"In response to security incidents and without advance notice, the US Embassy may further restrict or prohibit US government employees and their family members from travelling to certain areas of Israel (including the Old City of Jerusalem) and the West Bank," it adds.
Earlier on Friday, Australia advised its citizens to leave Israel "if it is safe to do so".
“There’s a high threat of military reprisals & terrorist attacks against Israel & Israeli interests across the region. The security situation could deteriorate quickly," the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade stated on its Smartraveller account on X.
