An employee of the Punjab Assembly allegedly attempted to die by suicide by jumping from the old building of the assembly complex in Lahore.
In a shocking incident, Muhammad Yousuf, an assistant at the Punjab Assembly, allegedly attempted suicide by jumping from the old building of the assembly complex in Lahore, assembly sources said.
According to the sources, Yousuf reportedly made the attempt to die by suicide by leaping from the building. Assembly workers promptly notified rescue authorities upon witnessing the distressing incident.
Yousuf was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital with severe injuries sustained from the fall. Initial reports suggest that he was in his office as usual in the morning before the incident occurred. Sources claim that after a phone conversation, Yousuf proceeded to attempt suicide by jumping from the assembly building.
Muhammad Yousuf serves as an employee of the Punjab Assembly Public Accounts Committee II.
Police are currently investigating whether the incident was indeed a suicide attempt or an accidental fall. The Lahore police have launched an inquiry to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
