Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Atta Tarar said on Friday that his party had already emphasised the need for a charter of the economy.
Expressing his thoughts, Tarar took a jibe at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), saying, "You [PTI] want to derail the democracy in the country."
Tarar questioned: "Under which capacity had the letter been penned to the International Monetary Fund (IMF)?"
– Masses denounce politics based on dual standards –
Few days back, PML-N senior leader Atta Tarar said that the efforts underway to deliberately make the National Assembly session “controversial”.
Addressing the news conference in Lahore, Tarar said, “There is no logic to delay the NA session.” He fired a fresh broadside at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), saying, “The PTI has always tried to harm the country.".
Tarar said: “The masses had denounced the politics based on dual standards. Every now and then, the new uproar has been caused by one prisoner.”
In connection with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Tarar said: “On what basis, do you [the PTI founder] think to write the letter to the international lender. You [PTI founder] are a corrupt person and behind bars.”
He took a dig at President Arif Alvi, saying, “President Alvi, you had plundered money by getting the MoU signed from the Indian-American. You have a property in Karachi’s Clifton. There is a discrepancy in your assets".
