Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said on Wednesday that Pakistan wants Chinese investment, not aid.
Expressing his thoughts on the sidelines of his visit to China, Aurangzeb invited Chinese investors to invest in sectors like agriculture, artificial intelligence (AI) and technology.
He resolved to uplift the agricultural sector in a bid to steer the country towards prosperity.
Meanwhile, speaking to the Chinese media, Aurangzeb stressed the need for further bolstering the ties between the two countries.
Aurangzeb asked Chinese companies to shift their operations to Pakistan.
Reiterating Pakistan's commitment to promoting regional peace and stability, Aurangzeb said: "The time has come now to benefit from China's capital markets."
He expressed his resolve to issue Panda Bonds to ensure Pakistan's access to China's capital markets.
