In recent days, the PMLN and PPP exchanged words ahead of the pols date announcements by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
The ECP chief election commissioner Sultan Sikandar Raja chaired multiple meetings in recent months and clarified that it is only the sole decision of ECP to announce the election date.
Recently, President Arid Alvi suggested a November 6 date for the general elections but the law ministry in a press statement issued said that only ECP has the right to announce the polls date.
