Speaking exclusively to Samaa TV, Naz said: ‘’It was in 2008 that the CPEC project was started, which was the vision of Asif Ali Zardari. Between 2008 and 2013, we were facing a wave of terrorism. We [PPP] did not cause any uproar that we had come to power in difficult times’’.
''We initiated a project like the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), which is now being expanded by every government’’.
She said, ‘’Even the third-world countries are replicating the BISP programme’’.
– PPP to spring its surprise in Punjab, claims Raja Pervaiz Ashraf –
Few days back, PPP senior leader Raja Pervaiz Ashraf claimed that his party will spring its surprise in Punjab in the upcoming elections, slated to happen on February 8.
Addressing the press conference in Islamabad, Ashraf said: ‘’When any political party does not get a majority in the elections, then there is the option to opt for an alliance with the other political parties’’.
‘’There is no permanent opposition in politics that limits the politicians from negotiating with each other,’’ Ashraf said.
‘’Every party and candidate try their level best to clinch victory in the elections,’’ Ashraf said.
Speaking about his party’s election campaign, Ashraf said, ‘’The PPP is running an excellent electoral campaign.’’
He praised PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, saying, ‘’Asif Ali Zardari has also taken correct decisions during difficult times. Asif Zardari is a great politician’’.
