The National Security Committee (NSC) on Friday praised the armed forces for giving a befitting response to Iran.
The huddle, which was chaired by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar at the Prime Minister's House in Islamabad, resolved to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity at any cost. On this occasion, expressing his thoughts, PM Kakar said, ‘’Our response to Iran was effective and was based on achieving the targets.’’
‘’Pakistan is a peaceful country and wants to live in a peaceful way along with its neighbours,’’ PM Kakar said.
Sources divulged plans to continue the intelligence-based operations to end the scourge of terrorism in the country.
The meeting was attended by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Syed Asim Munir among all the services chiefs, the chairman joint chiefs of staff committee, federal ministers, and senior civil, military, and intelligence officials.
Caretaker federal defence, foreign and finance ministers, as well as secretaries of interior, foreign and defence ministries were also present in the meeting. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran Mudassir Ali Tipu had also attended the meeting.
