Pakistan's first woman shooter, Kishmala Talat, has made the nation proud by clinching a spot at the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024!
This remarkable feat was achieved on Monday, after she secured the silver medal in the 10m Air Pistol contest at the Asian Shooting Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Talat's stellar performance in the final saw her rack up an impressive score of 236.3, securing her not only a podium finish but also the golden ticket to Paris. The top spot on the podium went to India's Esha Singh, who dominated the competition with a score of 243.1. Rounding out the top three was another Indian shooter, Rhythm Sangwan, who clinched the bronze medal with a score of 214.5.

Recently, the 21-year-old secured the fifth spot in the annual Asian Shooting rankings, released by the Asian Shooting Confederation.
Kishmala is only the third Pakistani shooter to qualify for the Paris Olympics besides Gulfam Joseph and GM Bashir. Moreover, Arshad Nadeem will also be partaking in the Olympics in the athletics category as well as equestrian Usman Khan.

It also marks a significant milestone in the country's sporting landscape, raising hopes for further success in the world's most prestigious athletic event.
