A book written on Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah by a Sri Lankan author was launched recently.
Sri Lankan writer Chandana Wijekoon’s book, titled "Ali Jinnah, Silver Voice of Asia", was launched at a ceremony at the Colombo International Book Fair.
The sale of 6,000 copies during the event itself is a testament to the popularity of Quaid-e-Azam. Later, another book launch ceremony was held at St. John's College.

Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan Wajid Hussain was the chief guest of the ceremony. Major General (retd) Prathap of Sri Lanka delivered a special address at the event.
The retired military officer said that Muhammad Ali Jinnah has rendered many services to the Muslims of the sub-continent. St. John's College Deputy Principal Rasanjali Jaya Tilka felicitated the author at the book launch.
Many other writers, journalists, and senior civil and military officers participated in the event.
On the occasion, the deputy high commissioner of Pakistan highlighted the deep relationship between the two countries and thanked the author.
