The APS Peshawar terrorist attack has completed nine years, but the morale of the families of the martyrs is as high and strong as a mountain.
The nation has not forgotten the brutality with which the terrorists martyred innocent children.
“My son was very lively and a friend of friends. He was also known as the ‘Golden Boy’ in school,” says the mother of Muhammad Ali Shaheed. “My son wanted to become an SSG commando. Perhaps he fought a battle, but life has not been faithful.”
She further said that Ali was a mama’s boy since childhood and was very close to her. “Even today, if someone asks me, I have one son and three daughters, because a martyr is always alive,” she remarked.
Saluting the resilience of those carrying the weight of loss.

Ali’s mother further says that he used to tell her that he would get her all the happiness in the world that she would always remember. “I did not know that he was talking about martyrdom,” she said emotionally.
Shayan Nasir Shaheed wanted to become a scientist and always stood first in physics, his father recalled. Shayan was fond of cricket. Since he was the youngest, he was the apple of everyone's eyes, said the martyred child’s father.
He also suggested not to indulge in propaganda against the Pakistan Army, because, as the famous saying goes, "If the country does not have its own army, there will be someone else's army."
He said he was proud of the Pakistan Army.
The sister of Nangyal and Shamowail Tariq said their world has been rendered incomplete after her brothers’ martyrdom. The purpose of admitting them to APS was to enrol them with the Pakistan Army; they would themselves also express the desire to join the army, she recalled.
She further stresses that they were proud that her brothers had embraced martyrdom.
The Pakistani nation has never forgotten its martyrs.
