Security forces on Friday gunned down five terrorists in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) carried out in Tank area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Security forces on Friday launched a targeted intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Tank, as reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The operation escalated into a fierce confrontation with terrorists in the Malazai area, resulting in a heavy exchange of fire.
The killed terrorists were allegedly involved in a series of grave offenses, including attacks on law enforcement agencies, extortion activities, and targeted killings of civilians, the ISPR revealed.
Huge of arms, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the terrorists’ hideout, underscoring the severity of the threat they posed.
Despite the successful neutralization of these terrorists, security forces remain vigilant, suspecting the potential presence of additional threats in the region. Consequently, an ongoing clearance operation persists to ensure the complete eradication of any remaining threats.
The ISPR emphasized the unwavering commitment of the security forces to uproot terrorism from the nation, underscoring their determination to safeguard civilians and maintain peace and security across the country.
