Pakistani Rupee gained 28 paisas against the US dollar in interbank trading and reached Rs284.14 on Wednesday.
In the open market, the greenback also lost 25 paisas against the local unit and reached Rs285.

As per forex traders, the recent IMF standby agreement with Pakistan and the ECP announcement of the general elections date on apex court directions gave a boost to the investors.
The civil-military leadership joint decision to launch a massive crackdown against the US Dollar hoarders also improved the situation in the market.
PSX 100 index crosses 63,000 milestone
The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) 100-index gained 650 points and crossed another milestone of 63,500 on Wednesday's trading session.
The investors are investing in oil refinery, and IT company's shares on Wednesday.
