Veteran Pakistani classical maestro Ustad Hussain Baksh Gullo, Pride of Performance award recipient, passed away in Lahore Tuesday. He was regarded as an ambassador of classical music for his 55 years long services to the classical music with expertise in thumri and Multani kafi singing.
Gullo left his sons, Suraj and Chand, both also singers, behind him.
The legend was the son of the renowned vocalist Ustad Nathu Khan hailed from the famous Patiala Gharana of classical music.
Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has expressed condolences over the demise of Ustad Hussain Baksh Gullo.
Alhamra Arts Council, where he performed many events, in a tweet paid glowing tributes to the departed soul.

Hailing from Sham Chorasi Gharana and was the brother-in-law of Ustad Salamat Ali Khan, while Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan was his nephew.
