Pop sensation Dua Lipa has reportedly ended her eight-month romance with filmmaker Romain Gavras.
The couple's first public appearance together was at Paris Fashion Week in March 2023.
A representative for Lipa confirmed the split to The Sun, citing the singer's intense focus on her music career as the primary reason.
"Dua and Romain have decided to part ways after a whirlwind summer romance," an insider revealed.
"She's laser-focused on her career right now and wanted to end things before they turned messy."
The source also hinted at Gavras's perception of Lipa's workaholic tendencies, stating, "Romain felt like Dua was always working, but she's not about to slow down for anyone or anything."
Meanwhile, Lipa is brimming with excitement for her upcoming third studio album, teasing a deeply personal record that delves into dating, singledom, and navigating the complexities of relationships.
"It's more about the various emotions and feelings you experience while being single," she explained.
"It's also about self-discovery. You learn what you want, need, and deserve," she elaborated.
"The album traces the journey from embracing singledom to the possibilities of a new relationship," she added.
"It's about navigating the early stages and uncovering someone's true nature – whether they're genuine or not. It's about understanding who they are," she concluded.
Lipa's previous high-profile relationship was with model Anwar Hadid.
