The repatriation of illegal Afghan citizens is gaining momentum. Even before the official announcement by the government, a substantial number of Afghan nationals have opted to return to Afghanistan voluntarily, citing concerns about potential arrests.
On December 1, 2023, a notable departure marked the repatriation efforts, with 1,232 men, 1,178 women, and 1,366 children making their way back to Afghanistan.
The total count of illegal Afghan nationals returning from Pakistan has now reached 402,312 as of December 1, 2023, and the repatriation process is still underway.
The government has facilitated the return of 612 families, employing 121 vehicles, for a smooth and organized transition to Afghanistan.
This development signifies a collaborative effort between the two nations to address the challenges posed by illegal immigration.
The repatriation initiative aims to streamline the process, ensuring that individuals return to their home country without facing legal consequences in Pakistan.
