In a strategic move to quell the ongoing boycott in Pakistan, McDonald's has implemented a substantial price reduction of almost 60% on its menu items.
This decision comes in the wake of widespread consumer outrage following the revelation that the international fast-food chain had provided free meals to IDF soldiers in Israel.
The controversy prompted McDonald's Pakistan to clarify its stance on the geopolitical conflict and distance itself from political entanglements.
The company emphasised that its Pakistani branches are independently owned and operated by local staff, ensuring they have no influence over the decisions made by branches abroad.
McDonald's Pakistan spokesperson stated, "We understand the concerns of our customers, and we want to assure them that our focus is on providing quality food and service to the Pakistani community. Our local franchises operate independently, and we have no involvement in the decision-making of branches outside Pakistan."
