Yamaha Motor Pakistan once again has announced a significant price increase for its popular Yamaha YB125Z-DX model.
Effective from November 23, 2023, the new price is set at Rs. 440,500, marking a substantial Rs. 17,000 rise from the previous Rs. 423,500.
While the official notification did not provide specific reasons for the hike, insiders suggest it may be in anticipation of a new "model," rumored to be a revamped sticker design.

This latest price hike follows Yamaha's recent strategy of incrementally raising prices for its motorcycles in Pakistan. The company had earlier increased the price of the Yamaha YBR 125 by Rs. 17,000, citing the launch of a "new model."
However, the excitement around this supposed innovation quickly dissipated as the new model turned out to be nothing more than a new color variant.
The practice of introducing minor cosmetic changes and presenting them as entirely new models has become a recurrent theme in the Pakistani bike market.
This approach, coupled with consistent price hikes, has sparked a debate about the lack of substantial innovation in the motorcycle industry in the region and its potential impact on consumers.
