Two foreign airline flights made an emergency medical landing at the Karachi airport due to the poor health of their passengers on board.
A flight of IndiGo airlines of India, en route from Jeddah, landed at Karachi airport at 4:15 in the morning.
During the flight, the health of a female passenger, Johra Bi, deteriorated, at which the captain of the aeroplane asked the Pakistan air traffic controller for permission to land the flight in Karachi.
After landing, the female passenger was provided medical assistance at Jinnah Terminal. However, she could not survive and died. The plane carried the body and left for its destination in India at 6:15am.
On the other hand, on a foreign flight from Muscat to Karachi, the passenger's condition suddenly worsened.
According to sources, the plane was approaching for landing when the passenger suddenly had an epileptic seizure. The plane was quickly landed and the passenger transferred to a private hospital through the civil aviation ambulance.
