Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday headed a consultative session with key party leaders to deliberate on the country’s political landscape, ongoing court cases, and chart out future strategies.
Among those present at this huddle were notable personalities like Shehbaz Sharif, Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Asif, and Ahsan Iqbal, convened under Nawaz Sharif’s guidance at the ministerial club.

Ayaz Sadiq, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Talal Chaudhry, Maryam Aurangzeb, and others were also present in the meeting, all of whom actively engaged in discussions concerning the political scenario across the country. Additionally, the meeting extensively covered ongoing court cases and strategic planning for the future.

According to sources, Ahsan Iqbal took charge of outlining the party’s forthcoming election strategy, sharing insights on the influx of ticket applications.
Furthermore, the huddle addressed critical matters pertaining to the formation of the PML-N’s parliamentary board, showcasing a comprehensive approach to navigate the evolving political landscape.
PML-N will steer country out of quagmire
Earlier, the PML-N while speaking to media in Lahore, senior leader Rana Sanaullah said that his party will steer the country out of the crisis.
Sanaullah said, “We have been engaged in contacts for the sake of strengthening the party in South Punjab for the general elections. The PML-N had won 34 out of 46 seats from South Punjab in 2013’’.
‘’Makhdoom Syed Samiul Hasan Gilani and Syed Mobeen Ahmed will become the PML-N strength in South Punjab,’’ the former interior minister said.

He asserted, ‘’The PML-N will address the country’s problems after emerging victorious from Punjab and other provinces’’.
Recalling the PML-N’s past contributions, Sanaullah said: “The PML-N, under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, conducted two nuclear blasts during this difficult time’’.
He said: ‘’The PML-N had also overcame the challenge posed by terrorism in 2013 as the terrorists were expanded to Swat’’.
Hitting out at Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, she said, ‘’We do not want to respond to Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari in the latter’s style. Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari should keep in mind that he is the chairman of the party.’’
‘’If toppling the PTI’s government was the mistake of Khursheed Shah, then he suddenly realised it after 16 months,’’ Sanaullah said.
He took a jibe at the PTI chief, saying, ‘’The PTI chief did not want to see the establishment as neutral’’.
"The statements that Khawar Maneka made during his interview are, as far as I know, right," said the former interior minister.
– PML-N to run electoral campaign with verve –
PML-N senior leader Rana Sanaullah said on Saturday that his party will run the electoral campaign with verve in Punjab.
Addressing a news conference in Lahore, Sanaullah said, ‘’The PML-N has more than one candidate in every constituency. The workers and leaders have decided to contest elections in great numbers.’’
‘’The meeting of the parliamentary board will start next week, which will be presided over by PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif,’’ Sanaullah said. Sanaullah said, ‘’The PML-N will bag up to 125 seats in Punjab in the elections’’.
