Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Sirajul Haq said on Friday that the rulers stage the politics for the sake of power and wealth.
Expressing his thoughts in Lahore, Haq took a swipe at the political opponents, saying, “The political parties exist in the country in the form of monarchs. Some of the people feel that after them, power belongs to their children as a legacy.”

He asserted, “The political opponents will be put to the test in the upcoming elections.”
He condemned the Israeli aggression on Gaza, saying, “The JI will stage the Gaza March in Lahore on November 19.”
– Siraj decries greater burden –
Few weeks back, Haq said on Monday that the people were facing severe economic hardships due to the red-hot inflation.
Expressing his thoughts in Lahore, Mr Haq asserted: "The caretaker and former governments are on the same page in line with the kowtowing to the International Monetary Fund (IMF)." He called for pouring on to the streets for the sake of the people's rights.
"The people are deprived of eating bread two times a day," he lamented.
