In a bid to improve the Hajj pilgrimage experience for travelers in 2024, the federal government has unveiled a comprehensive update to the Hajj package.
This updated package aims to make the journey more accessible, convenient, and comfortable for pilgrims. Here are the key highlights:
The government has introduced a shorter 20 to 25-day Hajj program, providing pilgrims with a more concise and efficient experience. This change is expected to make the pilgrimage more accessible to a broader range of people.
Accommodation of over 90,000 pilgrims
In its commitment to ensuring a seamless Hajj experience for all, the official Hajj scheme is projected to accommodate over 90,000 pilgrims. This move aims to reduce overcrowding and enhance the overall experience for those embarking on this sacred journey.
Streamlined payment options
A significant enhancement for overseas Pakistanis is the continuation of the sponsorship Hajj scheme. To ease the financial burden on these pilgrims, those who choose to pay their Hajj expenses in dollars will be exempt from the conventional lottery system, simplifying the payment process.
Pilgrims will now have the flexibility to choose their residence in Madina Munawara for a duration ranging from 4 to 8 days. This customization option offers greater convenience, allowing pilgrims to tailor their stay to their preferences.
Every pilgrim will receive a specially designed bag featuring the Pakistani flag, a QR code for easy identification, and relevant information.
These features aim to enhance the pilgrim's experience and make it more convenient and efficient.
Mobile App for registration
In a move toward greater administrative efficiency, the government is set to launch a dedicated mobile app for online registration of Hajj applications.
This app is expected to streamline the administrative aspects of the pilgrimage, making it easier for pilgrims to apply and manage their journey.
The anticipated Hajj Policy for the year 2024 is expected to receive approval from the federal cabinet in the coming month. With these progressive changes and added features, the government is determined to make the Hajj experience a more accessible and convenient journey for all those who embark on this sacred pilgrimage.
