Pakistan's textile industry has achieved a watershed moment with the conclusion of Textile Asia 2025, South Asia's largest textile exhibition, which resulted in nearly $550 million in trade agreements and several memorandums of understanding for investment.
The three-day event, presented by E-commerce Gateway Pakistan with support from the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), attracted around 67,000 trade visitors and 500 multinational firms from 20 Asian, European, and Middle Eastern nations.
International delegations from Turkey, China, Russia, and other countries showcased cutting-edge textile technologies, increasing global confidence in Pakistan's economic stability and industrial potential. The significant international participation reflected a growing belief in Pakistan's textile sector as a viable production and export base.
"Textile Asia 2025 has brought Pakistan's vision of becoming a global textile center to fruition," declared Dr. Khurshid Nizam, President of E-commerce Gateway Pakistan. Azier Nizam, Project Director, said, "The international interest and agreements secured have exceeded our expectations."
The exhibition included expert presentations on cutting-edge industry topics such as automation and sustainability in textile manufacturing. These discussions highlighted Pakistan's commitment to developing modern industrial methods that are in line with global standards.
