Karachi Kings’ fast bowler Hassan Ali has voiced strong optimism ahead of the upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), citing the squad's renewed energy and his personal commitment to helping the team succeed.
During a media talk on Monday, Hassan acknowledged the major changes within the franchise but remained hopeful about the outcome. “There are a lot of new things in Karachi Kings this season, and I’m hopeful that we’ll see positive results,” he remarked.
Having previously worked with bowling coach Shaun Tait, Hassan believes the combination of Tait and veteran all-rounder Ravi Bopara in the team’s support staff will prove invaluable. “It’s always been productive working with Tait, and Bopara’s experience will add great value to the setup,” he noted.
Hassan Ali backs PSL to shine globally
Making a bold comparison, Hassan expressed confidence that PSL can rival the popularity of the Indian Premier League if the teams deliver top-quality performances. “If we play well, people will start watching PSL instead of the IPL. PSL is our brand, and we’re determined to elevate it to the top,” he said.
Highlighting his personal goals, Hassan stated that his focus is on contributing wherever the team needs him most. “This season holds a lot of importance for me. I want to deliver performances that genuinely benefit the team,” he added. “When a team doesn’t perform well, it affects the league’s overall image.”
Blending in new squad
Hassan also commented on the challenge of building chemistry within a revamped lineup. “It always takes some time when new players join the squad, but once we find our rhythm, we’ll be a force,” he said.
