Mobile internet services in Quetta have once again been suspended due to security concerns, just a day after they were restored following a five-day disruption. According to sources, authorities decided to cut off access to mobile data in anticipation of potential unrest.
The suspension has caused significant inconvenience for residents, particularly students, professionals, and businesses relying on mobile connectivity.
The renewed shutdown comes amid ongoing protests led by Balochistan National Party (BNP) leader Akhtar Mengal, who has been actively campaigning against the arrest of activist Mahrang Baloch.
The government has cited security threats as the reason for the recurring service suspension.
