After years of anticipation, the much-awaited Hera Pheri 3 has officially gone on floors, bringing back its legendary trio—Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal.
The film, directed by Priyadarshan, marks the return of the iconic characters Raju, Shyam, and Baburao in another hilarious adventure.
According to a report by Hindustan Times, the first scene of Hera Pheri 3 was filmed on April 3. A source close to the production confirmed, “Yes, it’s true. The first scene was indeed shot today with Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh, who will be bringing back the memories of their iconic roles.”
Fans have been eagerly waiting for this update ever since Akshay Kumar confirmed his return to the franchise at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2024. The buzz around the film has only grown stronger with the confirmation of the original cast.
Director Priyadarshan, who helmed the original Hera Pheri (2000), is back in charge for the third installment. Acknowledging the high expectations, he shared, “It is going to be very challenging to make the third part because there will be too many expectations. Characters have gotten older, and accordingly, people should believe… these are important things. I am taking it as a challenge. Let’s see how it works.”
The Hera Pheri series has remained one of Bollywood’s most beloved comedy franchises. The first film in 2000 became a cult classic, followed by Phir Hera Pheri (2006), which also received immense love from audiences.
While plot details remain under wraps, the film is expected to continue the rib-tickling misadventures of Raju, Shyam, and Baburao, blending nostalgia with fresh chaos.
