Pakistan and Saudi Arabia continue to share strong brotherly ties, reaffirming their commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in defence and security.
This commitment was reiterated during a meeting between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Discussions focused on strengthening economic, strategic, and security relations between the two nations.
Overseas Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia remained the largest source of remittances, sending $744.4 million in February 2025. This marks a 2.21% increase compared to January 2025 and a 37.88% surge compared to February 2024.
