The Federal Investigation Agency's (FIA) Anti-Money Laundering Circle conducted a significant operation in Quaidabad, leading to the seizure of luxury vehicles worth millions of rupees.
Ford Raptor Jeep, valued at Rs58.5 million, was recovered from the residence of Armaghan Qureshi, a prominent individual linked to money laundering activities.
Armaghan Qureshi, who is known for his ties to the illegal financial sector, had previously been under investigation by the FIA. During the operation, a second luxury vehicle, an Audi e-Tron worth Rs43.5 million, was also recovered from his home. The recovery was part of a broader investigation into money laundering activities linked to illicit funds acquired through a call centre operation.
According to records, Armaghan Qureshi had used the illicit funds to purchase a total of eight vehicles. The total value of the expensive cars seized, which include vehicles from various high-end companies, amounted to over Rs120 million.
The seized vehicles were transferred to the FIA's Anti-Money Laundering Circle for further investigation. The operation, which involved the coordination of a specialised unit, marks another step in the ongoing efforts to combat money laundering in the region.
