Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gilani has emphasised Pakistan’s determination to enhance economic relations with Ethiopia.
According to details, Gilani held a meeting with the Ethiopian Ambassador, Jemal Beker Abdula, on matters of mutual interest. The two leaders focused on deepening bilateral ties, especially in the areas of trade, investment, and strengthening air connectivity between the two nations.
Gilani underscored that Pakistan was committed to advancing its economic collaboration with Ethiopia and expressed his firm resolve to further these ties. "We are determined to enhance our economic cooperation with Ethiopia,"
The Senate chairman also invited Ethiopian investors to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan, while noting that Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) was providing technical assistance to African nations, which Ethiopia could also benefit from.
"NADRA is offering technical support to African countries, and Ethiopia can certainly benefit from this assistance," Gilani said.
Gilani invited the Speaker of the Ethiopian Parliament to visit Pakistan, aiming to bolster parliamentary exchanges between the two countries. Both sides also agreed to work together to further strengthen air connectivity, thereby improving travel and trade links.
Gilani highlighted that the issues of Kashmir and Palestine remained a significant concern for global peace and stability. "The just resolution of these matters is the guarantee for peace and stability in the region," he asserted.
