Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Senator Kamran Murtaza said on Friday that Fazlur Rehman had not extended support for conducting an operation.
Expressing his thoughts on the Samaa TV programme, "Mere Sawal With Absar Alam", Murtaza said: "Apparently it seems as if ways are being found to see the intervention in Afghanistan. We need to remain cautious and take any steps vigilantly," Siddiqui added.
"The policies come from some other place, Maulana Fazlur Rehman had pointed them out," stated Murtaza.
He said, "Maulana Fazlur Rehman has not been given any offer by the PTI."
"Maulana Fazlur Rehman has not come up with any demand to get any portfolio," said Murtaza.
"We need clarity over the reservations we have from the past," said the JUI-F leader.
"Ali Amin Gandapur was in the meeting. Maybe this was for the first time that he greeted us in a good manner," said Murtaza.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Irfan Siddiqui said: "It is good news for us regarding the talks between the United States and Afghanistan. It is in our interests to see a peaceful Afghanistan that joins hands with the rest of the world."
"Zalmay Khalilzad's attitude remained negative. Zalmay has no portfolio under the Donald Trump administration," said Siddiqui.
Recalling the train tragedy, Siddiqui said, "The events like the train tragedies happen rarely in the world. The uproar was caused over the train incident on social media, and sympathy was extended towards the terrorists."
"If there is a need, then the operations will also be conducted," Siddiqui stated.
He recalled the events that transpired on May 9, saying, "What was the reaction if May 9 had happened in any other country? We could not even manage to convict anybody in the May 9 mayhem."
"Despite the incidents, the KP's administrative head stands against the operations," said Siddiqui.
