Punjab Home Department has issued security directives for Youm-e-Shahadat of Hazrat Ali (RA), ensuring foolproof arrangements across the province.
As per notification, security measures will be strengthened on 21st Ramadan, with additional personnel deployed at mosques, seminaries, imambargahs, shrines, processions, and religious gatherings. Authorities have been instructed to implement strict security protocols for mourning processions, majalis, and public congregations.
The provincial home department has also directed strict enforcement of restrictions on firearms possession and display across Punjab.
Moreover, speakers and religious leaders have been warned against delivering objectionable or inflammatory speeches targeting any sect.
The authorities have been ordered to enforce the Punjab Sound System Regulation Act 2015, with strict action against violations.
