Famous Bollywood actor Dalip Tahil has received a two-month jail sentence in a case dating back to 2018.
The 65-year-old actor had collided with an autorickshaw, resulting in injuries to a female passenger.
Based on the testimony of a medical professional who confirmed the presence of alcohol in his system and dilated pupils, a magistrate's court has convicted and sentenced Tahil to two months of imprisonment.
In the 2018 incident, Mumbai Police arrested Tahil for allegedly crashing his car into an autorickshaw, injuring a female passenger.
Although Tahil was granted bail at the time, the legal proceedings continued.
Now, the court issued its verdict, mandating a two-month jail term for the actor.
According to a report by local news reporter, Tahil had declined to provide blood samples to the Mumbai Police during the investigation.
Nevertheless, the police conducted medical tests on the injured person involved in the accident.
