Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan emphasised on Tuesday unity for combating terror wave.
Speaking to media outside Adiala jail, Khan said: "The lawyers had a meeting with Imran Khan for the first time following Jaffar Express tragedy. The PTI founder has condemned the Jaffar Express incident."
He said: "The PTI founder has backed the decision of the PTI's political committee."
"Imran Khan has said that the PTI is the party of all the provinces with the support of 70 per cent of the masses," said Khan.
Khan stated: "The PTI founder has resolved to fight against terrorism."
"The problem of terrorism cannot be resolved without taking the leader of the county's biggest political party on board," he said.
"It is a dire need to combat terrorism for the sake of the nation, but without the national leader, the briefing will have no outcome," said Khan.
He said, "It is also a weird thing that the meeting with the country's biggest leader is not being allowed."
Meanwhile, expressing his thoughts, PTI leader Salman Akram Raja said: "The PTI founder says there is no precedence of keeping him behind bars along with wife."
"Imran Khan has said that he will continue to fight against facism," Raja added.
"The PTI founder has said that he will continue to struggle for uplifting the democracy," he said.
Meanwhile, PTI focal person Niazullah Niazi said, "Imran Khan has voiced his concerns about not being allowed to meet with his wife or hold a telephonic conversation with his children."
"The PTI founder has said that he will not kowtow to anybody despite facing discrimination," he said.
