Ibrahim Ali Khan, the son of Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, recently stepped into the film industry with his debut movie, Nadaaniyan.
Coming from a family of actors, including his sister Sara Ali Khan, expectations were high for his first performance. However, the film’s release on Netflix was met with overwhelmingly negative reviews from both audiences and critics.

Viewers criticized Ibrahim’s acting skills, screen presence, dialogue delivery, and dialect, comparing him unfavourably to his father. Many felt that he lacked the charisma needed to carry a film, making Nadaaniyan a disappointing debut.
Among the many reviews, Pakistani film critic Taimur Iqbal shared his thoughts, harshly criticizing the film and Ibrahim’s performance. However, what truly sparked controversy was his criticism of Ibrahim’s physical appearance, particularly his nose. This remark did not sit well with the young actor, who allegedly responded by sending an angry and threatening message to the critic in private.
Taimur Iqbal later shared a screenshot of Ibrahim’s message, which quickly went viral on social media, igniting a heated debate.
The controversy has divided opinions online. Some criticized the reviewer, arguing that attacking someone's physical features rather than their performance was unprofessional and unnecessary. Others condemned Ibrahim, saying that as a public figure, he should have handled the criticism more maturely rather than responding with threats.
Fans and industry insiders have suggested that Ibrahim should accept criticism with grace, learn from his mistakes, and work on improving his craft rather than reacting emotionally to negative reviews.
As the debate continues, the incident has brought more attention to Ibrahim Ali Khan’s debut, though perhaps not in the way he had hoped.
