The Islamabad High Court (IHC) is hearing a contempt of court case regarding the denial of jail access to lawyer Mishal Yousafzai in cases related to the PTI founder. Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan is presiding over the hearing.
During the proceedings, the Advocate General stated that due to security concerns, it is not possible to bring the PTI founder out of jail. He further added that a video link is also unavailable for the court appearance.
In response, the court directed the Superintendent of Adiala Jail to submit an affidavit explaining the situation. Additionally, IG Islamabad has also been instructed to submit an affidavit regarding the matter.
To verify the lawyer's representation, the court has appointed a commission and directed that law clerk Sakina Bangash be sent to Adiala Jail. The law clerk will meet with the PTI founder and confirm whether Mishal Yousafzai is his lawyer or not.
