A powerful explosion occurred inside a mosque in Azam Warsak Bazaar, police sources confirmed.
The blast targeted Maulana Abdullah Nadeem, the Khateeb of Maulana Abdul Aziz Mosque and the Ameer of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Wana. Several people, including Maulana Abdullah Nadeem, were injured, and casualties are feared.
It is pertinent to note that this is not the first attempt on Maulana Abdullah Nadeem’s life. Previously, he was injured in a remote-controlled blast in Kalosha.
Authorities are investigating the incident, and security has been heightened in the area.
