The all-new 2025 Audi A6 Avant has officially been revealed, and unlike many modern car launches, it offers both petrol and diesel engine options instead of going fully electric.
The redesigned model features an updated look, enhanced technology, and refined driving dynamics.
For the UK market, the A6 Avant will be available with two engine choices:
- 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder petrol (261 hp, 340 Nm torque, FWD)
- 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder diesel (335 hp, 400 Nm torque, AWD with a 48V mild hybrid system)
Both versions come with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, ensuring a smooth drive.
Interior & technology
Audi’s latest interior overhaul brings cutting-edge digital features, including:
- Panoramic driver’s display with an infotainment touchscreen
- Optional passenger display
- Ambient lighting as standard
- Huge panoramic sunroof with switchable elements
- Adaptive cruise control
- 360° parking cameras
- Park Assist Plus, allowing the car to park itself
- Practicality & Comfort
While the A6 Avant retains its reputation for comfort, boot space has slightly decreased:
- 503 litres for the petrol version
- 466 litres for the diesel version
However, an electric boot lid with a kick-to-open feature is now standard.
About the RS6
Audi has confirmed that a new RS6 is in the works, likely featuring a plug-in hybrid system. Speculations suggest it could be powered by a 4.0L twin-turbo V8, pushing up to 660 hp, with hybrid assistance.
Pricing & availability
The 2025 Audi A6 Avant will be available for purchase from April 1st, with the front-wheel-drive petrol model priced at around $ 645,000 in international markets. Audi has also fine-tuned its ride quality, making it 30% quieter than its predecessor, and introduced a brake-by-wire system for a more natural braking feel.
The new A6 Avant strives to raise the standard in the executive wagon segment with its refined design, hybrid-ready future, and luxurious tech.
