Former provincial minister Kamran Bangash of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been apprehended by the police.
The police in Peshawar have initiated a crackdown on PTI members.
This arrest comes in connection with several cases including the May 9 incidents as well as vandalism in Radio Pakistan and provincial election commission buildings.
Another case has been registered against Kamran Bangash at the Chamkani police station which includes allegations of providing shelter to fugitives.
Notably, another former PTI provincial minister, Noor Zeb, was also arrested by the police in Bajaur district.
Additionally, the police conducted a raid on the residences of former lawmakers including Arbab Sher Ali and Fazal Elahi.
They also sought to apprehend Irfan Saleem, the provincial president of PTI Peshawar district.
However, these arrests were not possible due to the absence of the accused individuals.
