The Maharashtra Cyber Police have summoned Bollywood personality Rakhi Sawant in connection with the ongoing ‘India’s Got Latent’ controversy.
She is expected to appear before the authorities tomorrow.
The case revolves around alleged obscenity and controversial remarks made during the YouTube show, which has led to multiple social media personalities being investigated.
Who has been questioned so far?
- Apoorva Mukhija (Influencer) – Her statement was recorded on Tuesday after being named in the obscenity case.
- Ranveer Allahbadia & Ashish Chanchlani (YouTubers) – Their statements were recorded on Monday.
- Samay Raina (Stand-Up Comedian) – His statement is yet to be recorded.
Ranveer Allahbadia accepted his mistake, admitted to making controversial remarks, and apologized to the police. He also clarified that he appeared on the show as a favour to Samay Raina and did not charge any fees.
Investigation continues
The Maharashtra Cyber Cell’s investigation is still ongoing, with more influencers expected to be questioned.
