Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on Thursday highlighted that Pakistan is providing Chinese companies and the global community with lucrative investment opportunities in the mining and metallurgy sectors, ensuring high productivity returns.
Caretaker PM Kakar met with several Chinese corporate executives during the Third Belt and Road Forum.
The discussion involved executives from companies like Minmetals, MCC, CCCC, CRBC, COFCO, Amer International Group, Power China, China Energy, and China Gezhouba Group.
During the meeting, Caretaker PM Kakar introduced them to Pakistan's efforts to achieve economic stability.
He outlined investor-friendly policies including the creation of a Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) designed to streamline foreign investment processes.
He encouraged these Chinese executives to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan, particularly in sectors like ICT, agriculture, renewable energy, textiles, digital economy, mining, and minerals.
The Chinese entrepreneurs also shared their portfolios in Pakistan and expressed interest in expanding their business presence.
The caretaker premier also extended an invitation to the Chinese executives to visit Pakistan for discussions on their business interests with relevant ministers.
